Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of 1Status (the service). By creating an account you accept them.

The service

1Status monitors the availability of websites, servers and other systems, alerts you when they fail and hosts public status pages. The service is provided as is, and features may evolve over time.

Your account

You need an account to use the service. Keep your credentials safe: everything done with your account is your responsibility. Provide a working email address so we can reach you about your account and your monitors.

Acceptable use

Only monitor systems you own or have permission to monitor. Do not use the service to probe, overload or attack other people's systems, to break the law, or to disrupt the service itself. We may suspend accounts that do.

Plans and payment

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider. Plan limits are enforced by the service. Prices can change; changes take effect at your next renewal and are announced ahead of time.

Cancellation and downgrades

You can cancel at any time; the plan then runs until the end of the paid period. When a plan ends, the account falls back to the free plan: check intervals are adjusted to its minimum, and monitors over the limit are suspended and deleted after 14 days.

Availability

We work to keep the service reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance and outages can interrupt monitoring and alerting.

Your data

Your monitor configuration and results remain yours. We process personal data as described in the privacy policy and use your data only to run the service.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit or missed alerts, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced ahead of time; using the service after they take effect means you accept them.
